LinkedIn’s New Design Highlights The Power of Content
In the last days of 2014, LinkedIn announced a redesign on the platform. The logic behind that change puts more emphasis on content throughout the world’s largest professional network.
LinkedIn’s change in design may not be available for all of you right now, but gradually the network will expand this new experience to all users. Although it’s not a really radical change, the update makes the content shared much more visible -which is pleasing for us!
LinkedIn’s new homepage design wants you to “stay connected with your professional world”.
With a logic of “It’s all about you”, LinkedIn’s redesign displays a new dashboard at the top, including an instant feedback on how you are doing.
Right side of the page is spared for a “Keep in Touch” section. Here you’ll see the latest updates on your connections’ professional lives and have the chance to engage with them immediately.
The last part concerns your stream, in which you’ll be seeing professional insights you can read on the platform. The content will be simply the articles in your feed, shared by your connections and your Influencers.
Through an algorithm change, LinkedIn claims to re-order your stream and highlight people and content that matter the most to you.
