Messaging Application LINE Announces Its Payment Service

Japan-based messaging application LINE takes a challenging step! The company has recently announced a new service called ‘LINE Pay’ which enables you to make payments through the app.

LINE’s new service helps users to pay on e-commerce websites and several apps, simply by adding their credit card information. With a global user base around 560 million, LINE Pay can have great impacts on the whole industry, as well.

Apart from China and South Korea, LINE Pay is now globally available!

In the initial phases, you can use the service only for the purchases on LINE Store. All you have to do is to install the latest version of the app.

As a promotion, to celebrate LINE Pay’s release, the users can get up to a 25% bonus. So, if you’re into that kind of stuff, it’s the right time for you!

The most challenging part of the service is that their agenda is full of ideas like money transfer between friends and taxi payments through the app. We’ll see how they will go on with these aims in mind and how the company will compete with other messaging apps rumored to start payment services, like Snapchat.
