Wakie: The App to Wake a Stranger Up

If you love your bed more than anything in this world, you’ll find this app very useful. Sorry, but it’s time to wake up!

You may be an alarm-hater or a heavy sleeper. No matter what, you don’t have to ask your friends to call you in the morning anymore. Thanks to Wakie, there are complete strangers who can do that!

Wakie is designed to enable people from the world to wake each other up. With a simple call.

Originally a Russia-based app “Buddhists”, now called “Wakie”, the application has recently gathered a great number of investment and now aims at a bigger, international market.

Through the app, you can be both a waker and a wakee. Just set your alarm or check out the sleepies who need a wake up. Don’t worry, your chat will last only a minute. No awkward goodbyes, no long conversations!

For now, Wakie is fully available in United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Singapore and Hong Kong. Meaning, if you are living in another country you can still wake people up, but cannot set an alarm.

The app claims to be totally anonymous. But you still need to share your phone number, age and gender with Wakie. Don’t worry, others will only see your country information.

You can download the app for iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
